Barefoot Can Now Offer a Way to Turn Spare Weeks Into Big Donations
August 8, 2011– Barefoot Technologies, a leading provider of browser based reservation and asset management systems in the vacation rental industry, and Geronimo! Vacation Rentals for Charity, the only company that simultaneously allows owners to increase booking revenues and be charitable, today announce a business partnership that will provide Barefoot clients with a way to turn spare weeks into big donations.
Barefoot’s new partnership will provide property managers, representing more than 16,000 rental properties, with a seamless method to list homes and manage spare rental weeks. Geronimo, which launched on March 1, 2011, already has more than $1 million in donated vacations in its growing database of inventory. In addition, there are more than 1.1 million nonprofits that can benefit from donations made through Geronimo!.

The partnership provides property managers with another incentive; all Geronimo listings are free and property managers still receive their full fee. Barefoot and Geronimo are co-developing an “easy button,” so managers can easily donate last minute cancellations and convert them into a donations to non-profits. Property owners have the option of donating half or all of the rental proceeds.

Beginning June 1st, property managers will be able to turn on the Geronimo portal.
